On 12 July 2022, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced the unblocking of Operación Campamento during his speech in the Debate on the State of the Nation.
“We will immediately unblock Operación Campamento for the construction of 12,000 homes in the city of Madrid, 60% of which will be dedicated to public housing,” explained the President of the Government. A week later, the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda met with Madrid City Council to start ironing out the details. The mission? To define the first steps for the reactivation of Operación Campamento.
