The program, for which the Executive wants to rely on private collaboration, plans to expand the number of flats involved from the current number of 30,000 to 120,000 per annum. That would mean multiplying the number of flats that are renovated each year in Spain by four.
Pedro Sánchez’s Executive wants to include the initiative in the Investment and Reform Plan for 2020-2022, which it is designing to receive EU funds post-Covid 19. In this way, it would be able to effectively channel the recovery funds that it hopes to receive from the EU to revive the economy and overcome the crisis.
