The coronavirus crisis has left the application of the rental price controls on stand-by whilst David Lucas, the Secretary-General of the Urban Agenda and Housing, works on the implementation of the royal decree of emergency measures.
The Ministry was finalising the Reference Rental Price Index, which was due to be unveiled at the end of March. It will serve as the basis of the future state law for the control of prices. The Executive of Pedro Sánchez wants to curb price rises in rental pressure points and large cities.
