The German Government’s Tourism Commissioner, Thomas Bareiss, is not ruling out the possibility that Germans will be able to enjoy their summer holidays in the Balearic Islands or in the Greek islands, if the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic allows it, as reported by Última Hora.
In this vein, Bareiss declared, “This summer, I think that we will not make trips to long-haul destinations, but that does not mean that it won’t be possible to travel within Germany or to neighbouring countries where the virus figures are also slowing down”. He added that “Nor would I rule out other regions in Europe such as the Balearic Islands or the Greek islands. “
