The European Investment Bank, through the EIF, its subsidiary specialising in venture capital for SMEs, has granted Banco Sabadell a guarantee amounting to 96 million euros for a securitised loan portfolio.
The operation will allow the Spanish bank to increase its credit capacity to offer financing worth 576 million euros to Spanish companies, mainly self-employed people, SMEs and mid-caps.
