The Canary Islands Invest €31 Million in the Purchase of 323 Rental Homes for Social Housing

The Canarian Housing Institute is going to invest 31 million euros in the acquisition of homes throughout the archipelago whilst it puts in place a rehabilitation plan.

The government of the Canary Islands, through the Canarian Housing Institute, is going to buy 323 homes to expand the stock of protected rental properties in the archipelago. In total, the organisation is going to invest 31 million euros through which it expects to create 1,745 direct and indirect jobs.

The purchases are going to be spread across the islands as follows: Gran Canaria 89 homes, Fuerteventura 44, Lanzarote 19, Tenerife 96, La Palma 36, La Gomera 22 and El Hierro 17.
