The Government is going to mobilise 26,000 homes for social rental use with the help of Sareb and the banks, through the Social Housing Fund. In this way, the agents have agreed with the Government to expand the number of units that they were planning to assign to the Fund.
On Wednesday, Pedro Sánchez presided over the signing of a protocol between the Ministries of Transport and the Economy and Sareb to expand the housing stock that that entity uses for social rental purposes. The President of the Government also announced that he will allocate 1 billion euros of European funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism to the Affordable Rental Housing Plan.
