Things are looking up in the banking sector. The non-payment of loans granted by banks, savings banks and cooperatives to individuals and companies fell slightly in April to 4.74%, compared to 4.80% a month earlier.
According to data from the Bank of Spain collected by Europa Press, that figure represents a reduction in the bank default rate of almost one percentage point compared to April 2019, when it stood at 5.70%.
