Rental prices rose by 4.6% in 2019 compared with the previous year, taking the average rent to 11.6 euros per square metre. The cities with the highest rental prices are Barcelona and Madrid, according to the latest report about the rental market from Tecnocasa.
Barcelona was the city with the most expensive rental prices in 2019, at 15.3 euros per square metre, up by 2.1 % from the year before (15 euros per square metre). In Madrid, the average price was 14.8 euros per square metre, up by 3.8% compared to 2018 (14.2 euros per square metre).
