Despite all the grey clouds that have been hanging over the economy since the start of the autumn, the Spanish real estate sector is close to completing the best year since before the previous bubble burst, back in 2008. That has been confirmed by data from the British property developer Taylor Wimpey Spain, which expects to close this year with its best results, in terms of the number of home reservations.
During 2022, Taylor Wimpey Spain has built a total of 14 new developments, in which it has made an investment of 150 million euros. And for 2023, it already has another nine developments planned with an investment of 80 million euros. By area, the Costa del Sol has been home to the most new projects this past year: a total of seven. It is followed by the Balearic Islands with four and the Costa Blanca with two. And it is in the latter where the largest number of home reservations has been registered.
