Glovo, which already had a budget of more than 20 million euros for 2021, has now received additional investment from the Swiss platform Stoneweg. The funds will mainly be allocated to developments in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Romania, as well as in other parts of Eastern Europe.
In this way, the product distributor will continue to promote its own infrastructure network, such as that involving its darkstores – its own urban warehouses located in strategic points around cities to facilitate deliveries in less than 30 minutes. This is known as Quick Commerce, the third generation of commerce based on the ultra-fast delivery of all kinds of products.
