The British company Segro has finalised its acquisition of a logistics complex in Martorelles, in the province of Barcelona.
Specifically, the asset is the former Valeo factory bought a few years ago by the Swiss investment manager Stoneweg. Class Plastic currently occupies it. Segro acquired both the 21,000 square metre warehouse and the 36,000 square metre plot of land, paying 10 million euros.
The new owner will now have to wait for Class Plastics’ lease to expire or negotiate its exit to undertake a new project in one of the areas with the highest demand in the logistics industry in the second ring of Barcelona.
EY’s real estate department acted as an advisor in the transaction.
