The average price of new homes in Spain’s provincial capitals increased by 0.9% last year, to reach €2,476/m2 in December 2020, which corresponds to a cost of €222,840 for an average home spanning 90 m2, according to the Trends in the Real Estate Sector Report published by Sociedad de Tasación (ST).

In turn, the semi-annual variation was 0.2%. The consulting firm explained that the rate of growth in new home prices has slowed for the third consecutive year, thus maintaining the trend towards a moderation in prices that began at the end of 2018. The new edition of the report includes the evolution of house prices during the second half of 2020, as well as other indicators corresponding to the fourth quarter of 2020.
