Shopping Centres Recover their Pre-Pandemic Sales and Investment Figures

Footfall is the only value that is still below the levels recorded pre-Covid-19.

This strong year for the real estate sector in Spain knows no exceptions. From logistics to residential, to alternative assets of all kinds and even to offices, investment figures continue to remain above the averages recorded in recent years.

It has also been a positive year for shopping centres and retail parks. According to data from the Spanish Association of Shopping Centres and Retail Parks (AECC), sales during the first half of 2022 equalled those registered during the same period of 2019, before the outbreak of the pandemic. Investment was equally strong, with 16 operations closed between January and June 2022.
