Segro, a British company specialising in logistics, industrial and urban distribution properties, acquired a 16,000 m2 plot of land in Martorelles (Barcelona) from the Italian manufacturer Piaggio.
With the acquisition, the site of the former Derbi factory, Segro has strengthened its presence in Catalonia, where it already had more than 422,000 m2 (almost 190,000 m2 of built area and 233,000 m2 under development).
The London-based company, which has been present in Spain for six years, has begun demolition work on the factory to develop a new project based on its Segro Responsable programme.
