Sareb and Värde to Invest €2.7 Billion in New Housing

The Sociedad de Gestión de Activos Provenentes de la Reestructuración Bancaria, popularly known as Sareb, is seeking to grow its residential development division, and plans to invest a total of €2.687 billion by 2027.

The bad bank will invest heavily in a partnership with Árqura Homes, which is partially controlled by Värde Partners, to sell more than 3,000 units until the end of the year, according to a statement by Javier García del Río to El Economista.

In the year to June, Sareb had 1,136 homes on sale. The forecast is that the firm, despite the crisis triggered by the pandemic, will put a further 3,439 units on sale during the second semester of this year.
