Banco Santander wants to enter the market for non-performing assets in the global financial sector as a buyer. The bank is planning to invest close to €1 billion in the doubtful credit or NPL market, according to Expansión.
The bank is strengthening the team that will specialise in this new line of business. It will be developed through Deva Capital, the company that the bank has created to make its debut in a market that offers great returns.
