Santander and Blackstone Record Losses of €162 Million Through Their Servicer Aliseda

Aliseda's accounts have been affected by a charge amounting to 124 million euros to clean up the company's goodwill and other assets.

Aliseda, the real estate servicer of Quasar, a company owned by Santander and Blackstone that holds Popular’s damaged portfolio, recorded losses of 161.8 million euros in 2019, compared to the losses it recorded a year earlier of 21.6 million euros, according to Expansión.

Aliseda’s accounts have been affected by a charge amounting to 124 million euros to clean up the company’s goodwill and other assets, as its business prospects deteriorate. According to members of the board of directors, this impairment is the consequence of a change in the medium-term prospects for the development of the group’s business plan.
