According to the General Council of Notaries, the decrease was solely due to a sharp fall in the sale of existing homes (-28.5%). At the same time, the acquisition and sale of new flats rose by 9.7% year-on-year, while sales of single-family homes fell by 13.9% year-on-year.

Average housing prices per square metre in June reached 1,393 euros, a fall of 3.9% y-o-y. That figure is equal to a fall of 9.6% in the price of single-family dwellings, versus just a 0.1% drop in the price of flats.
