Roc Hoteles Prepares to Sell Properties to Raise Liquidity

The chain controlled by the Miralles family is negotiating with various funds and 'family offices' interested in taking over its beachfront establishments on the islands.

The Roc hotel chain, controlled by the Miralles family, is holding talks with several investment funds and family offices to sell some of the 14 establishments that it owns, according to El Confidencial. The negotiations are being held regarding the establishments that the group has in the Balearic Islands, which comprise seven hotels in Mallorca and two in Menorca.

With a turnover of €102 million and an EBITDA of €29 million, Roc Hoteles has 23 establishments in its portfolio distributed between Spain and Cuba. Of those, two thirds are owned and are located in: Mallorca (seven hotels), Menorca (one), Almería (one), Torremolinos (three), La Manga (one) and Marbella (one). In addition, in Menorca, the firm owns the Roc Lago Park and Roc Oasis Park apartments. The rest of the properties are operated on a management basis.
