After adopting measures to help homeowners with mortgages who are facing economic difficulties as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, the Government led by Pedro Sánchez has been working for several weeks to achieve a similar solution for rental tenants.
The two main pillars of its proposal are: loans to the tenants of small property owners through the ICO, and moratoriums by private owners who hold portfolios comprising eight homes or more. Along with these measures, a debate will be held over the terms and scope of the eviction suspensions.
