The average price of rental housing in Spain reached 10.2 euros per square metre per month in the third quarter of 2020, whilst the average monthly amount stood at 1,005 euros, representing a decrease of 8.4% compared to the first quarter of the year, in line with the overall contraction of the economy.
In terms of the monthly amount, only five municipalities recorded prices above the Spanish average. Barcelona led the ‘Top 25’, with an average price of 1,405 euros per month, followed by Madrid at 1,301 euros per month and Palma at 1,195 euros per month, according to data from the real estate big data platform BrainsRE.
