According to data presented by the Spanish Association of Real Estate Personal Shoppers (AEPSI) at a press conference attended by Brainsre.news, given the uncertainty surrounding the evolution of the crisis during the second half of the year, tenants are taking advantage by negotiating rentals downward with decreases of 10-15% on rents of 1,200 euros per month.
In large cities, people looking to rent are taking advantage by negotiating rentals downward with owners. Some reductions are being accepted directly and other discounts are being established on a sliding scale from year to year. “For rentals below 1,000 euros per month there are no significant price adjustments,” says Iñaki Unsain, President of AEPSI. This decrease in prices “goes hand in hand with the transfer of housing from tourist rental to seasonal rental (from 30 days to 11 months) or long-term rental,” says Montse Moreno, Vice-President of the Association.
