According to a report published by the Association of Registrars on Monday, home sales and purchases soared by 76.7% in June 2021 compared to the same month last year, when the first state of alarm linked to the coronavirus ended.
Specifically, there were 45,439 registered transactions in June 2021, compared to 25,709 a year earlier, an increase of nearly 20,000 transactions.
Since the coronavirus pandemic, trends show a gradual recovery trend since July 2020, only interrupted in October, January and February. There have been strong upturns from March onwards, coinciding with the months of the first state of alarm. Specifically, May saw the largest year-on-year increase, 108.4%, slowing down in June for the first time this year.
