The listed real estate company Realia, whose largest shareholder is the Mexican businessman Carlos Slim, has closed the first quarter of 2022 with an increase in all its financial results, mainly driven by the strong performance of the new home market in Spain.
Between January and March, Realia obtained revenues of 49.21 million euros, compared to 41.7 million euros in the same period in 2021. Unlike before the latest boom in the new construction sector in the Spanish market, more than half of its turnover came from its residential business, which generated more than 27 million euros.
