Home sales submitted to Spain’s property registers totalled 47,033 in May. Sales were up 11.4% m-o-m, and by 22.4 points compared to May 2020 (-11%), according to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE).
91.2% of the homes sold in May 2021 were non-subsidised (42,902 units, +11.1% m-o-m) and 8.8% were protected (4,131 units, +15.4%). Likewise, 19.6% of the dwellings were new (9,199 units, +8%) and 80.4% were existing homes (37,834 units, +12.3%).
