Property Developers Forecast a Decrease in New Home Permits in 2022

The President of the associations of property developers Asprima and APCE says that the increase in construction costs will not impact the price of housing as it is being borne by the sector.

A market characterised by pre-Covid figures but not by the post-pandemic boom. That is the summary from experts in the residential sector who are getting ready to celebrate the event of the year for property developers and buyers alike: the Madrid Real Estate Fair (Sima) 2022.

“This year, we will convene 270 entities including public and private companies and institutions, almost as many as in 2019. There will be 15,000 homes in total, and we expect a slight increase in the number of visitors, especially those looking for a second home and investment product” explains Eloy Bohúa, Director of Planner Exhibition, the organizers of Sima.
