Prologis has announced the construction of a new logistics building for Alcampo. The asset will have a surface area of 30,000 m2 and will be built on a 60,000 m2 plot of land in Prologis Park San Fernando. From there, Alcampo plans to distribute its products and services to an area of influence comprising a population of more than 8 million.
The warehouse will be equipped with fully automated order picking technology, which will be installed and operated by the Ocado Group. In addition, the building will have electric chargers for vans and cars to promote sustainable mobility in the freight transport sector.
