Primonial and Grupo Lar to Invest €400 Million to Build 5,000 Rental Homes

The French fund manager has joined forces with the Spanish group to develop and manage more than 5,000 build-to-rent homes in Spain, in which they will invest 400 million euros.

The French fund manager Primonial has joined forces with Grupo Lar, a real estate company owned by the Pereda family, to create a new rental housing platform, with a presence in several cities in Spain.

Through this agreement, Grupo Lar is continuing with its commitment to the rental housing segment “to meet a clear market need,” explained the company in a statement. According to the Spanish firm, there is currently an imbalance between supply and demand in the residential rental market in large cities.
