Different segments of the real estate sector have responded differently to the impact of Covid. Furthermore, the effects of the virus have been uneven depending on the geographical location. In this sense, residential rental prices have increased in the main municipalities in the north of Madrid. By contrast, the prices of homes for sale have decreased in both the new and second-hand segments.
Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Las Rozas, Pozuelo de Alarcón and Torrejón are the five towns with the greatest real estate appeal in the area located between the A6 and A2 motorways. These are locations with high levels of purchasing power and large, single-family apartments and houses.
