The largest rental housing transaction in Spain is currently underway. Patrizia will buy the Catalan real estate company Becorp’s residential rental portfolio for 800 million euros, according to an article in Expansión.
The Catalan real estate company’s residential portfolio consists of 2,000 units in various municipalities in the Barcelona metropolitan area. Among the 2,000 flats are finished and projects under development, known as build-to-rent.
The deal would be the largest in the Spanish real estate market in 2021, ahead of the Montepino portfolio of logistics assets.
Patrizia has €1.45 billion in assets in Spain – in the residential sector, it has a portfolio of 60,000 square metres, valued at 250 million euros.
