Illescas is on its way to becoming the new logistics hub for Madrid. The town, which sits on the border that separates Castilla-La Mancha from the Community of the Spanish capital, was the focus of the largest industrial operation ever to be signed in the area last week, with Valfondo as the protagonist. Now, Panattoni, the leading logistics-industrial real estate developer in Europe, has just announced the acquisition of a 45,000-square-metre plot on the Cárcavas 2 Industrial Estate in Toledo.
The project, to be called Panattoni Park Toledo/Illescas II, will have a gross leasable area of up to 32,000 square metres and will be flexible in its ability to accommodate two activities. It will be a state-of-the-art logistics building adapted to the needs of the logistics and industrial sectors. In this vein, it will have 41 loading docks and a minimum free height of 11 metres, which will allow for the optimisation of vertical storage.
