The online real estate segment is on a roll. During the first nine months of 2019, 320,871 transactions were carried out online, up by 37% compared to the same period in 2018. Moreover, €146.9 million was invoiced, 47.7% more than the €99.7 million registered in the same period in 2018, according to data from the National Competition and Markets Commission (CNMC).
Specifically, the real estate sector billed €38.2 million online during the first quarter of 2019, €54.1 million between April and June, and €54.5 million euros between July and September. In the absence of data from the final quarter, the sector had already exceeded the €122.4 million invoiced during the whole of the previous year. However, the data does not reflect the impact of the current confinement measures due to Covid-19, since the figures correspond to 2019 only.
