The office market, like most sectors, has succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic. The implementation of teleworking together with the consequences of the economic crisis has caused a significant drop in the take up of new office space.
As a consequence, the absorption volume during the first semester fell to 131,000 square meters in Madrid and 86,000 square meters in Barcelona, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield.
