The Spanish office market recorded its best year yet in 2019 with investment amounting to €3.84 billion in Madrid and Barcelona. That represented an increase of 65% compared to the previous year, when the figure amounted to €2.33 billion, according to the latest report about the office sector by Knight Frank.
Activity in the sector was concentrated in Madrid, which closed the year with investment of €2.37 billion, up by 28% with respect to the previous year when it amounted to €1.82 billion. Meanwhile, €1.47 billion was invested in offices in Barcelona in 2019, almost 3 times more than in 2018, when the total investment figure amounted to €506 million.
