Overnight stays in non-hotel tourist accommodation – such as apartments, campsites, rural tourism accommodation and hostels – dropped to zero during April in Spain, a historical statistic, due to the health crisis, according to data published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The mandatory closure of non-hotel accommodation and hotels since 26 March due to the State of Emergency means that the data for April about the number of establishments open, beds and rooms available, travelers welcomed and overnight stays were zero right across the country.
