Newdock, Goldman Sachs’ logistics platform, has started work on its first project in Spain. After announcing its intention to invest one billion euros in the logistics sector in Spain and Portugal, its first investment will be in three warehouses in Cártama, Málaga.
The project will consist of three new warehouses (18,000, 18,500 and 21,500 square metres), developed on two plots of 58,000 and 27,000 square metres. Work began last May and is scheduled for completion between April and June next year. They will be awarded the LEED Platinum environmental certification.
These assets can be leased to different tenants, as there will be nine modules of varying sizes, from 2,500 square metres to 21,300 square metres.
