New Build Housing Resists Covid in the Balearic and Canary Islands

During the first half of the year, the price of new build housing increased by 0.9% in the Balearic Islands and by 0.6% in the Canary Islands, compared to an average national rise of 0.8%.

The price of the average new home has increased by 1.7% in the Balearic and Canary Islands over the last year. Nevertheless, this upward trend is below the national average, which has risen by 3%, according to a study by Sociedad de Tasación.

However, during the first half of the year, prices rose by 0.9% in the Balearic Islands and by 0.6% in the Canary Islands, compared to the average national increase of 0.8%.
