Barcelona City Council and the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) are once again promoting the joint venture ‘Habitatge Metròpolis’ to develop the supply of affordable rental homes in the region, according to La Vanguardia.
The objective is to put 4,500 rental homes on the market at affordable prices over 10 years in order to partially solve the housing problem that the city and its neighbouring municipalities are experiencing. This project could provide housing for 12,000 people.
