Mountpark has acquired 90,000 square metres to launch Mountpark Illescas IV, its fourth logistics project in the area.
The new complex will be 45,300 square metres in the Iberum Central Platform, located 35 kilometres from Madrid. The development of the facilities will be done on an at-risk basis, and construction will begin in January.
It is one of the last available blocks, bought from 53 local owners.
The logistics developer’s portfolio totals 188,000 square metres in the area. Illescas I has 85,624 square metres, leased to Carreras Grupo Logístico; and Illescas II is a 44,747 square metre distribution centre, operated by GXO. The first warehouse was the largest built-at-risk in Spain, equivalent to 12 football fields.
