The number of home appraisals carried out for mortgage purposes increased by 9.56% between the months of July and September 2020 compared to the same quarter in 2019, to exceed 93,600, according to data from the Spanish Association for Value Analysis (AEV).
That figure is the highest in the third quarter since the statistics began to be compiled by the AEV. In the opinion of Paloma Arnaiz, General Secretary of the association, “this is probably due to the accumulation of operations that could not be closed during the lockdown in the second quarter of the year”.
