It’s an important day for ensuring that thousands and thousands of affordable rental homes come onto the market in the medium term. On the one hand, Sareb has begun the process to transfer the management of land and build between 10,000 and 15,000 homes on some of its plots. And on the other hand, the Council of Ministers has authorised the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda (MITMA) to sign an agreement with the Public Land Entity (SEPES) to establish a collaboration framework to allow the construction of more than 17,000 homes.
According to the Government, the Ministry is promoting this Plan “to increase the stock of rental housing at affordable and social prices and thus facilitate access to decent housing for families and other cohabiting groups with limited income, mainly in those areas where the rental market is particularly stressed.
