The Socimi Merlin Properties is evaluating the sale of four of its fifteen commercial assets, as explained by its CEO, Ismael Clemente, during a presentation to shareholders on Friday.
The CEO pointed out that the company does not plan to divest any more of its shopping centres, despite the fact that they were one of the assets most damaged by the pandemic. In this sense, Clemente said that Merlin’s portfolio had borne the brunt of the measures since a large proportion of its assets are located in Cataluña, a region that has seen some of the toughest restrictions.
