The Portuguese Competition Authority has given the green light to the Spanish fund manager Mazabi for its purchase of the MadeiraShopping shopping centre in Funchal (Portugal). Until now, the property has been owned by Sonae Sierra, Estevão Neves and APG.
In March, the investment management company reported Mazabi’s willingness to take control of 100% of the shopping centre through its subsidiary Atalaya La Tejita. And now the resolution of the Portuguese Competition Authority (Autoridade da Concorrência) has proved favourable. The transaction has not taken place yet and the consideration has not been revealed.
