Mapfre Finalises Sale of Five Nursing Homes to Healthcare Activos

Mapfre carried out the transaction by acquiring the company Maquavit for 50 million euros.

The socimi Healthcare Activos has completed its acquisition of five nursing homes from Mapfre. The transaction was initially announced in October 2020.

The socimi, which specialises in the elderly care sector, acquired the assets by buying the company Maquavit for 50 million euros, as reported in the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry.

The assets are located in Madrid, San Sebastian, Palma de Mallorca, Santiago de Compostela and Oviedo, and have 800 beds and 150 day centre places. They are all currently managed by DomusVi, an operator specialising in homes for the elderly, which will continue operating the homes under its long-term contract.
