Manuel Lao, former owner of the gaming group Cirsa, has bought around 1% of the share capital of the Socimi Merlin Properties through his investment holding company Nortia. The manager, who last week acquired 5.39% of the firm’s capital, now owns 6.29%.
The businessman who started out in the gaming sector has whereby strengthened his position as the second-largest shareholder of the company led by Ismael Clemente, behind Banco Santander, which owns 22.27%, and ahead of funds managed by BlackRock, which hold 3.99 %.
