Work will begin on the ‘Nudo Norte’ (Northern Junction) of the M-30 during the first week of December. This work represents the prelude to the Madrid Nuevo Norte Operation, the largest urban and real estate planning project in Spain.
The mayor of the Spanish capital, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has explained that the objective of the project is to reduce traffic congestion during rush hour in this enclave of Madrid since the bottleneck has a knock-on impact on the traffic in the rest of the city.
