This has been affirmed by Madrid City Council’s Representative for Urban Development, Mariano Fuentes, who maintains that “under no circumstance” will state controls be established in the Spanish capital.
Madrid City Council, one of the cities in Spain with the greatest tension in terms of rental prices, together with Barcelona and its metropolitan area, Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla and Málaga, will refuse to establish any type of limit over rental prices once the housing law being prepared by the coalition government is ready, which will likely be in four months time.
