The office market – a favourite asset of many investors for decades – has been badly damaged by the pandemic. The implementation of working from home, together with the consequences of the economic crisis that many companies are facing, has caused a significant drop in the demand for office space.
However, following the usual summer paralysis, September and October have seen several office operations, mainly in Madrid. Companies such as Catella, Zurich, Blackstone and GRC, amongst others, have all carried out important transactions in the Spanish capital.
