Madrid City Council and the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda have created a common front to convince the Ministry of Defence to hand over land to ‘Operation Campamento’, according to El Confidencial.
The portfolio that the administrations are interested in comprises a batch of plots extending over almost nine million square meters. Some of the land already has the necessary planning permission for the construction of up to 10,700 homes.
